| ADVENTURES WITH LLAMAS AS COMPANIONS AND PORTERS |
| Llamas provide perhaps the finest combination
of companionship and physical assistance of any animal in the world.
Our four llamas frequently join us on our tours, helping to carry
food and water, hiking gear, backpacks, kayaks, and other supplies.
These gentle animals are extremely bright and curious, and provide
a constant source of interest and enjoyment. Many of our core programs, both daytime and overnight, can be run with llamas as fellow travellers. The following three programs have been specifically adapted for this purpose: Vineyard picnics. We have selected several vineyards whose grounds are sufficiently scenic and varied that they are suitable for extended hikes. For those visitors with an interest, we can provide a gourmet lunch with full food and beverage service, llamas to join us as porters, and a unique al fresco dining experience. Wine Country day hikes. Llamas can also join us on our day hikes into the surrounding areas, as well as combined with other outdoor programs, such as nature and wildlife viewing. Family programs. Kids love llamas for their animal magnetism and parents love them for how they help to share the load. Together this makes llama travel in any form a great choice for an alternative family adventure. |
